The cable comes pre-lubed for smooth operation, is properly clearanced to reduce backlash and has a large .250-inch diameter blue "long lay" (stiffer, less prone to kinking) outer jacket for durability. We recommend using the 5-foot length Unimatic shift cable for most Ford and GM applications.
